Ottawa Senators GM Bryan Murray appears to be interested in trading for Carolina Hurricanes D Joni Pitkanen. That's what the blog Senshot is hearing, adding that he could be a replacement for Filip Kuba.

The Hurricanes are certainly looking to dump players, and GM Jim Rutherford as said the trade market had begun to move. Chances are, the Senators will have to send over draft picks and prospects because at this point that's all the Hurricanes may want. ~ ESPN Insider
