I Liked This, I Didn't Like This
NHL-Elite hockey players and bush league officiating. Time to return to the one ref system as it's clear there aren't enough qualified refs for the NHL. Just terrible.... these idiots are ruining the game.
I drove to Montreal for the game and sat at center ice to see the action. Very poor calls by officials. This call was atrocious, but not any worse than blowing offsetting minors for tripping and diving as ottawa had a 2 on 1, or Turris' interference call when he was going for the puck. I couldn't tell if whistles were make-ups for previous blown calls, but it was bad. It spoiled the entire trip for me.
A buddy who watched the game told me it was a makeup for the first period goalie interference call, but that was a Canadiens player gliding into Anderson - and Galchenyuk much have bodied up Anderson a dozen times though play.
