As I mentioned in an earlier post, the broadcast feed from last night's game didn't really provide any conclusive evidence to substantiate Dan Girardi's claims that Milan Michalek had kicked him with his skate. Well, the New York Daily News has published a video featuring some of the isolated camera feeds to show some lengthier footage of the incident. (h/t to The New York Rangers Blog for the link)
Thats it? Give me a break. Did Tortorella weigh in on this saying there has been a "blueprint"? It seems to me like all sens should be banned for everything all the time: Phillips should be suspended, Neil should be suspended, Michalek should be suspended......
@S_Church I don't like that this is only coming to light because of a complaint by Girardi or Tortorella. If a ref had seen it happen on the ice and given Michalek a penalty then I would completely agree this is suspension worthy. Neil and Phillips have done nothing suspension worthy.
No hearing scheduled: MORE evidence that the NHL prefers Ottawa advancing over small market New York.
Pains me to say it but based on the Skinner suspension, that might have Michalek in the press box for G7. If it was a Ranger, I think we'd be calling for justice. Sucks to commit treason on Michalek but you just can't use your skates like that.
