With the 2011 NHL Entry Draft less then one week away, we took the opportunity to talk to Chris Wideman - Ottawa's 4th round selection in the 2009 draft - about playing at Miami University, pairs figure skating, Kelly Chase and his 2009 draft day experience.
If you haven't already, I encourage all of you to add Chris to Twitter (@Chris_Wideman).
Thanks again to Chris for coming on the show. If he plays hockey as well as he interviews then we will have a real gem on our hands.

Good one guys. Been enjoying the site for about a year or so.
Like the optimism about the chances to draught Huberdeau. Don’t think we’ll have a chance to do that as I think he’ll be gone 2nd overall but who knows right? I have my reserves on Lando but I’d love to be proved wrong.
Keep bringing these draft preview articles and podcasts.
@FloAction Glad you enjoyed the podcast. To be honest, when you get a guy like Chris on the show it's impossible for it not to turn out well. This may have been one of the most fun interviews we've done - I'm sure he made a lot of new fans in Ottawa with this appearance. Like you said, the best part of this draft is no one knows. Could get real interesting and I'd be willing to wager all top 6 teams have different draft boards so don't worry too much if you think your guy is gonna go earlier, we may just be proven quite wrong. We'll be back next week with a draft wrap up and we'll try and do something interesting on this most monumental week in Senators history.
Oh my guy will be gone. I'd want RHN haha. I'm not willing to pay what i imagine the Oilers would want (karlsson). there are very slight possibilities that Hubbie drops and we trade up but I'd be very surprised if he went lower then 3rd. and the best I figure we could move up to is 4rth. like you say we'll know in a week.
