According to the Ottawa Sun, Peter Regin has been recalled from Binghamton for no other reason than, he's better than the incumbents. With Anton Volchenkov also returning tonight from his shoulder injury, Jason Smith and Christoph Schubert have been giving the keys to the pressbox.

Sweet, thanks for rubbing off on everyone Jason. Frankly, I can't wait to hear people lose their shit on the call-in radio programs or post anonymously on messageboards criticizing his signing. I'll give the Sens credit this year though, rather than run the also-rans back on the ice in an effort to get results (a la Luke Richardson), Sens management seems prepared to see if the kids on the farm can contribute at this level.

The next debate should be: How long will it be before Mattias Karlsson gets a look? Would you waive Jason Smith to make room and hopefully clear salary? Would another team be interested?
