If you've been following the Senators since Chris Neil sustained his calf laceration, you've probably encountered innumberable media outlets describing the latest fucking minute details of everything that is Chris Neil. Seriously, I like the guy, but I'm sick of Chris Neil and every little detail that's slightly less relevant than the day before.

Honestly, I wish the media would piss off and let the Neil issue go. There's absolutely no intrigue to this story whatsoever. Neil is goint to get his $2.5 million from a card carrying member of the Old Boys Club. (Otherwise known as a NHL G.M.)

Give up the charade already. Bryan Murray isn't going to overpay to keep him around so there's already one alternative. We've accepted it and have moved on. You should do the same.

Instead of uninspiringly covering the details of the Neil saga, why not bring a refreshing idea to the table? Since Neil probably will be unable to play before Wednesday, why not hold a short pre-game ceremony on Tuesay (against Calgary) so that the fans can pay him the proper respect before he's dealt.

Seriously, until Chris Neil is dealt or pulls an about-face and resigns on the cheap, fuck off. Your time will be better spent in the archives dusting off some articles from 2004. I'm already looking forward to a dozen or so 09-10 Training Camp stories discussing how the team needs to address the lack of team toughness.
