According to TSN:
The Columbus Blue Jackets have been keeping a close eye on Steve Mason lately, and it's not just because of his Calder Trophy-worthy performance.

The club confirmed a Columbus Dispatch report Saturday night that the young goaltender has been battling mononucleosis. According to the newspaper's website, the Blue Jackets will continue to play Mason in goal unless he takes a turn for the worst. The Dispatch adds the the team believes he's been sick for a month.
Awesome. It's nice to know that Ottawa can't score on a guy who's battling general body fatigue from a "kissing disease".

Chris Neil Prepping for Life After the Deadline:

According to the Ottawa Sun, Alexandre Picard will most likely be unavailable to play in the next game against the LA Kings after he suffered an upper body injury in a collision with Chris Neil.

I'm Tired Of Jason Spezza...

Always going to his go to quote: It's disappointing.

“We’re not in a position right now to be getting two of six points on a road trip,” said Jason Spezza. “It’s disappointing.”

No kidding. Tell that to the fans who you've turned into a bunch of raging, bitter fucking assholes. You just called out by Jan Fucking Hejda, show some emotion you goof. Deny that the team is playing like they've given up! Criticize the Blue Jackets for playing a style that lulled the Sens to sleep. Jan Fucking Hejda, it's unbelievable, where have the rebuttals been? Grow a sack and show something.

Mind you, I don't even know why I'm bothering to complain. The last time Spezza went off on his Bullshit rant last season, I couldn't stop laughing. I just can't take the guy seriously because he's always smirking, giggling or taking 20 minutes to put on a watch. It's just all so disappointing. (And yes, this was cathartic.)
