In a story that's now being corroborated at Sens Chirp, a Hockey Board's user has posted this story:
Heard on a quick news blurb on NHL Home Ice today that apparently Neil's agent has gone to the press saying that he's not looking for a 2.5M deal as reported by some people.By some people, the agent meant this person. And if the agent meant that he'll be seeking a deal less than $2.5 million, then I mean it when I say this word, "FUCCCCCCCK". While Tim killed it with this article earlier in the season, it's worth revisiting the value of a ginger balled, 10-12 minute getter, who has regressed in production and skating. Unless he's being retained for the same amount of jack, the duration of Neil's tenure here in Ottawa shouldn't become the predominant reason for him to stay.
Bryan Murray, you made a mistake not getting anything for him at the deadline. Don't make the mistake of giving him a raise. It's not worth it.
